Fine mourning envelope from Hinton Parva in Wiltshire to 'J A Parkinson Esq, Office 5 College Street, Dublin' with fine 1d (SG8) lettered SK, fine four margins and tied '293' numeral of Farringdon in Berkshire. On reverse fine strike 'HINTON-PARVA' udc in black overstruck Dublin date stamp NO 17 1850 in red, also 'FARRINGDON' date stamp NO 15 1850. Whilst Hinton Parva was geographically in Wiltshire it came under the jurisdiction of the Farringdon Post Office in Berkshire. (Ref 137201).
