1840-41 MATCHED TRIO 1D BLACKS PL.1A (SG2), PL.1B (SG2) AND PENNY RED PL.1B (SG7) LETTERED QI. Good to fine used 1840 1d black pl.1a (SG2) lettered QI, corner bend but fine four margins, light strike red Maltese cross and showing 5 and 10 o'clock ray flaws NW square. Matched with fine to very fine used 1d black pl.1b (SG2) lettered QI with fine to large margins and red Maltese cross. Also matched good used 1d red pl.1b (SG7) lettered QI, four margins but heavier strike black Maltese cross. Both plate 1b's show 7 and 10 o'clock ray flaws NW square and variety 'BOTTOM LINE 'I' SQUARE DOUBLE' (Lichfield). Fine trio (3 items). (Ref 141782).
