    1838 MAIL KETTERING TO ROTHWELL, NORTHANTS WITH 'Kettering/Penny Post' HAND STAMP (NN100), TURNED AND RE-USED. Wrapper Kettering to Rothwell, Northamptonshire with part printed address, paid '5' and on front fine strike 'Kettering/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (NN100), slight splitting to fold, on reverse 'NORTHAMPTON' date stamp DE 11 1838. Wrapper turned and re-used with printed address to 'The Secretaries of the Northamptonshire National Society, Central Schools, Northampton', charged '6' with light strike 'Kettering/Penny Post' and 'KETTERING' date stamp DE 14 1838. The Penny Post hand stamp only recorded 1838-1839 and this pre-dates use by three days. (Ref 141695).
