Good to fine 1840 1d Mulready wrapper, stereo A22, used locally in Newport addressed to 'Mr Geo Gething, Newport', small fault on front but cancelled very fine strike red-brown Maltese cross of Newport. On reverse 'NEWPORT MON' date stamp JY 3 1840 in same colour ink. (Ref 138823).
