Undelivered envelope from Salisbury to Bodenham in Herefordshire with KGVI 1½d (SG464) cancelled 'SALISBURY' 22 MAR 1940 with manuscript 'UnKnown as addressed' and boxed 'UNDELIVERED FOR REASON STATED/RETURN TO SENDER' instructional hand stamp. Also on front fine strike 'SALISBURY/27 MCH 40/WILTS' rubber date stamp in violet after being returned to sender. (Ref 137283).
