CIRCA 1890 DERAEDEMAEKER RE-PRINT SOUTHGATE CARICATURE NO.1 REFERRING TO POSTAL MATTERS. A good unused circa 1890 Deraedemaeker re-print of the Southgate caricature No.1 in black on white wove paper, several small tone spots reverse only. Caricature with many references to the postal service and Britannia with her right eye covered by a patch is scattering her messengers. At right a postman is attempting delivery to a man hung from a gallows 'dead letter' and at lower right a pick pocket is plying his trade whilst a gentleman posts a letter. (Ref 137016).
