Envelope from Clapham Lane to Kirkby Lonsdale with good 1d (SG17), centred slightly low tied good strike 'LANCASTER/436' sideways duplex AU 5 1855. On reverse good to fine strike 'CLAPHAM-LANC' udc in blue which is geographically in North Yorkshire but under the jurisdiction of the Lancaster Post Office (YK675). Also on reverse 'BURTON-WESTMD' date stamp AU 6 1855. (Ref 137001).
