1844 DORSET/"DORCHESTER" SKELETON TYPE DATE STAMP (DT242). Letter (some soiling and slightly fragile) from Dorchester to Weymouth with 1d (SG8) lettered OL, four margins tied fine "256" numeral of Dorchester and on front good strike framed "No.7" receiver's hand stamp of Evershot. On reverse good strike DORCHESTER/7 skeleton style date stamp MY 25 1844 (DT242) and WEYMOUTH date stamp MY 25 1844. The skeleton hand stamp only recorded used 1844. (Ref 111194).
