A superb unused block of nine 1851 1d pl.119 (SG8) letter GD GE GF HD HE HF ID IE IF in a most attractive shade approaching orange-brown with excellent fresh colour. Block with good to large margins all round and very fine original gum, HD with small natural paper imperfection from paper making process, IE natural gum imperfection on reverse but eight stamps fine unmounted. Many stamps show misplaced check letters, a most attractive multiple of exhibition quality. (Ref 143349).
