Envelope sent registered airmail London to Sao Paulo, Brazil with 3d violet (SG467), 2/6 brown slight soiling (SG476), 5s red (SG477) x 2 and 10s dark blue (SG478), all except the 2/6 tied good strikes 'REGISTERED/WORMWOOD ST' date stamps 21 FEB 1940. The stamps paying the correct 5 x 4/6d rate and 3d registration but it appears the postal clerk has cancelled the airmail label instead of the 2/6! Filing fold clear of stamps which are largely clear of creasing. Good usage. (Ref 143212).
