Envelope, small fault, used locally in Bakewell addreseds to 'The Sheffield and Rotherham Bank, Bakewell' with good used 1d (SG8) lettered RK, four very close but clear to good margins and tied '41' numeral of Bakewell. On reverse fine strike 'EYAM' udc in red and 'BAKEWELL' date stamp MY 19 1853. Eyam is the famed village that in 1665 'self isolated' during the plague. (Ref 143163).
