1843 MAIL BIRMINGHAM TO REDDITCH 1d (SG8) MISSORTED FINE STRIKE 'Missent to/Exeter' HAND STAMP (DN640). Large part wrapper Birmingham to Redditch, part address crossed through, 1d (SG8) lettered QB, touched at foot otherwise good margins and tied black Maltese cross. Evidently missorted and on front fine strike 'Missent to/Exeter' italic style hand stamp in black (DN640). On reverse 'BIRMINGHAM' date stamp JU 24 1843 and 'BROOMSGROVE' date stamp JU 27 1843. Apparently just eight examples are recorded of this missent hand stamp. (Ref 143069).
