Letter from Montrose dated 27th April 1850 to 'Richard Souter Esq, 16 Tridgur Pleace, Bow Road, London' with 1d (SG8), cut into lettered OL and tied good strike '251' Scottish numeral of Montrose. Address should have been 'Tredegar Place' and thus letter mis-sorted with manuscript 'Missent to Kings Lane'. Filing folds, just clear of stamp and on front London date stamp AP 29 1850., on reverse 'MONTROSE' date stamp AP 27 1850. (Ref 143022).
