1840-1841 MATCHED TRIO 1D GREY- BLACK PL.1A (SG3) 1D BLACK PL.1B (SG2) AND 1D RED PL.1B (SG7) LETTERED MF ALL SHOWING CONSTANT VARIETY 'M DOUBLE'. Fine used 1840 1d grey-black pl.1a ((SG3) lettered MF, four close but clear fine margins, fine red Maltese crosses and clearly showing 5 and 10 o'clock ray flaws NW square. Matched fine used 1d black pl.1b (SG2) lettered MF, four fine margins, showing 7 and 10 o'clock ray flaws, red-brown Maltese cross. Also 1d red pl.1b (SG7) lettered MF, four close to fine margins and neat strike black Maltese cross. All stamps clearly show fine constant variety 'M DOUBLE' (Spec AS2d/AS5f and AS7f).
