Good group of postal history/postcards from the village of Exton in Rutland 1803-1912 comprising 1803 letter, some faults from a J Dain, believed to be from Exton to London, charged '7' and on front good to fine strike very scarce 'GREETHAM' straight line handstamp in black (RU1); letter dated 6th February 1804 from Rudkin, estate manager of Exton Park to London also charged '7' with fine strike 'STAMFORD/86' boxed mileage mark (LI1001); 1857 mail Exton to York with 1d (SG29) tied fine '537' numeral of Oakham and on reverse fine 'EXTON' udc; 1907 postcard Exton to Leicester with very fine 'EXTON' single ring date stamp; 1912 postcard of the Old Hall, Exton with ½d good strike previously unrecorded 'EXTON/OAKHAM' skeleton date stamp SP 2 12 (31mm) and three early postcards of village views.
