1839 MAIL USED LOCALLY IN WIMBORNE, DORSET WITH 'Wimborne/Penny Post' HAND STAMP (DT733). Fine letter dated April 11th 1839, used locally in Wimborne addressed to 'Mefsrs. E H Castleman, Wimborne' charged '1', on reverse exceptional strike, over flap, of the very rare 'Wimborne/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (DT733). One of only apparently two examples recorded to date. (Ref 110928).
