1937 VERY LARGE ENVELOPE AIR MAIL COVENTRY, WARWICKS TO SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA WITH 2/6 SEAHORSE (SG450) X 16, 6D (SG426a) BLOCK OF FOUR AND 1S PHOTOGRAVURE (SG449) X 2. Fine very large envelope, 368 x 267mm, from 'The General Electric Co' of Coventry to their branch in Sydney, Australia sent air mail with 2/6 Seahorse (SG450) x 16, block of four 6d (SG426a) and vertical pair 1s photogravure (SG449) with 'COVENTRY/WARWICKSHIRE' date stamps 29 DE 37. Some stamps with faults as expected and 1s (SG449) has fallen off in transit, noticed by Australian Post Office and cachet 'STAMP FALLEN OFF/GPO SYDNEY' struck in red at centre right. An exceptional franking paying the £2 5s eighteen times letter rate. (Ref 142019).
