1932 AIR MAIL VIA GRAF ZEPPELIN FROM LONDON TO BRAZIL WITH 2/6 SEAHORSE (SG415). Fine envelope from London to Pernambuco, Brazil sent via Graf Zeppelin flight G 279 with KGV 1s bistre-brown (SG429) and 2/6 Seahorse (SG415) tied fine strikes 'LONDON/AIR MAIL' date stamps 24 SP 32. On front two fine to very fine strikes Zeppelin cachets, one in red-orange depicting a Zeppelin amidst palm trees 'LUFTSCHIFF GRAF ZEPPELIN/7. SUDAMERIKAFAHRT/1932', the second a circular cachet in red 'DEUTSCHE LUFTPOST/BERLIN-FRIEDRICHSHAFEN' with image of airplane within. This Zeppelin flight departed 26 September 1932 taking 74½ hours to Recife. Superb usage. (Ref 141888).
