1944 ½D GERMAN PROPAGANDA FORGERY WITH 'MURDER/RUIN/CASTELLE/CANDOLFO' OVERPRINT IN RED. A superb unused 1944 ½d German propaganda forgery overprinted 'MURDER/RUIN/CASTELLE/CANDOLFO' in red with 'BOMBS' either side of overprint. The overprint shows the error of spelling 'CANDOLFO' for 'GANDOLFO', Castle Gandolfo was the Papal summer palace. Very rare. (Ref 137943).
