Equitable Assurance Office, New Bridge St, London', filing fold affects, cancelled fine strike Maltese cross of Devonport in a pale red shade which Mike Jackson lists as 'Pink/pinkish red'. On reverse 'DEVONPORT' date stamp JA 4 1841 in same shade. On reverse written letter dated 3rd Jan 1841 with health report. Unusual Mulready with nine used examples recorded to date. (Ref 141745).
