1840 MENZIES ORIGINAL CARICATURE WITH BRITANNIA REPLACED BY WASHERWOMAN. A very fine unused original Menzies caricature in black on white wove paper, on front Britannia is replaced by a washerwoman sending out her messengers and on right and left are images of a Chinaman, an elephant and a Turk. On reverse is a humorous 'Man of Letters' with a person constructed of letters! Scarce original caricature. (Ref 135457).
