1840 PENNY BLACK PLATE 1A AND 1B MATCHED PAIR LETTERED DB. Fine to very fine used 1840 1d grey-black plate 1a (SG3) lettered DB with four close to fine margins, cancelled red Maltese cross and showing 5 and 10 o'clock ray flaws, matched with fine 1d black plate 1b (SG2) also fine margins and cancelled red-brown Maltese cross. Plate 1b shows 7 and 10 o'clock ray flaws. Very fine matched pair. (Ref 133950).
