Envelope from Selkirk to Massachusetts with fine printed image of "Andrew Lang" affixed to front with KGV 1½d tied neat SELKIRK date stamp 20 OC 34. On reverse ms "Received under cover from Hingham Mass USA addressed to Postmaster". Andrew Lang was a Scottish poet and a man of letters 1844-1912, born in Selkirk. This envelope is one of a whole series seen at this time celebrating the lives of prominent people. (Ref 111536).
