Fine envelope London 'To Sir Thomas Phillipps Bart, Middle Hill, Broadway' with very fine Henry Archer experimental perforation 1d pl.93 (SG16b) lettered DC with alphabet 1 check letters clearly visible and both mis-placed in letter squares. Stamp tied very fine strike London '73' District Office numeral, on reverse London date stamp MR 20 1854 and 'BROADWAY' MR 21 1854. Very attractive example of the Archer perforation. (Ref 141692).
