1854 MAIL EDINBURGH TO LONDON WITH 1D ARCHER EXPERIMENTAL PERFORATION PL.93 (SG16b)(IH). Letter from Edinburgh dated 12th April 1854 to 'John G C Hamilton Esq, 2nd Life Guards, Regents Park Barracks, London' re-directed to 'Knightsbridge' with good 1d Archer experimental perforation pl.93 (SG16b) tied slightly heavy strike Scottish numeral '131' of Edinburgh. Letter some soiling although mostly clear of stamp. On reverse Edinburgh date stamp APR 12 1854 and London date stamps AP 13 1854. Of the 515 Archers on cover recorded to date 16 are used from Scotland and only 5 of these from Edinburgh. (Ref 135098).
