    1856 REGISTERED MAIL HAY ON WYE, BRECON TO LUDLOW WITH 6D EMBOSSED (SG58) AND 1D (SG29) X 2. Fine wrapper sent registered mail from Hay on Wye to Solicitors in Ludlow with 6d embossed (SG58), cut to shape and pair 1d red-brown on blued paper (SG29) lettered CJ CK, filing crease affects CK. Stamps cancelled neat strikes '347' numerals of Hay, on reverse 'HAY' date stamp NO 3 1856 and 'LUDLOW' date stamp NO 4 1856. Very scarce provincial usage. (Ref 142076).
