1840-1841 MATCHED PAIR 1D BLACK PL.9 (SG2) AND 1D RED STATE TWO (SG7 SPEC AS65) LETTERED GD. Fine to very fine used 1840 1d black pl.9 (SG2) lettered GD, fine four margins and good strike black Maltese cross in STATE ONE with 'O' flaw and vertical guide line NE square. Matched with good to fine 1d red (SG7) IN STATE TWO (Spec AS65), corner bend at lower left but fine four margins and neat strike black Maltese cross. The STATE TWO without the 'O' flaw, thinner check letter 'D' and with right cross flaw. (Ref 141116).
