1840-41 MATCHED TRIO 1D BLACKS PL.1A (SG2), PL.1B (SG2) AND PENNY RED PL.1C (SG7 SPEC AS8) LETTERED RA. Good used 1840 1d black pl.1a (SG2) lettered RA, horizontal bend at top but four fine margins, fine impression, clearly showing 5 and 10 o'clock ray flaws NW square and sideline NE square strong. Matched with fine 1d black pl.1b (SG2), four close to very large margins, red Maltese cross and whilst impression looks like plate 1a it clearly shows 7 o'clock ray flaw NW square and very weak right frameline NE square. Also good used 1d red pl.1c (SG7 Spec AS8), touched at upper right but showing much thinner check letters and upper squares. (3 items). (Ref 141937).
