CIRCA 1857 SMALL PIECE WITH DIE 2 1D PL.38 (SG40)(SB) CANCELLED '2' NUMERAL IN BLUE (PROBABLY SOUTH AMERICAN) AND '466' NUMERAL OF LIVERPOOL. Small piece with fine used 1857 die 2 1d pl.38 (SG40) rose-red on white paper lettered SB tied neat '466' numeral of Liverpool in black and also tied very fine strike '2' handstamp in blue, probably South American in origin. Scarce and attractive. (Ref 89692).
