The Lord Lisle, Chandler House, Devonport, England', 1d (SG8), cut into several places and unusual 'roulette' wavy type cut at top, tied very fine strike Kinsale Maltese cross thin lined type as usually seen in Scotland. On reverse' KINSALE' date stamps FE 2 and FE 3 1844. Mike Jackson records nine examples of this cancellation in his Encyclopaedia. (Ref 143829).
