    1738-1752 LETTER GRITTLETON, WILTSHIRE TO BENHAM, BERKS ENDORSED 'BY NEWBURY BAG' AND 'CHIPP/ENHAM' TWO LINE HAND STAMP (WL130). Fine entire letter, slight imperfections, from Grittleton in Wiltshire 'To the Right Honourable The Lord Craven at Benham Berks' with additional manuscript 'by Newbury bag' without postal charge (?). On reverse good to fine strike of the rare 'CHIPP/ENHAM' two line hand stamp in black (WL130) which is recorded in use 1738-1752. Very fine usage. (Ref 131261).
