    1806 ABUSE OF FRANKING PRIVILEGE FROM COTTESMORE (RUTLAND) TO LICHFIELD WITH 'GREETHAM' HAND STAMP (RU1). Fine wrapper with enclosure from Cottesmore to 'Thomas Hinkley Esq. Lichfield' dated January 8th 1806 and signed 'Lowther' at lower left. On front good part strike 'GREETHAM' straight line hand stamp in black (RU1), the latest recorded of this hand stamp. Abuse of franking privilege as letter written by M Brereton, the son of the Vicar of Cottesmore and not Lord Lowther. (Ref 123723).
