CIRCA 1703-1706 'GC' LONDON GENERAL POST RECEIVER'S HAND STAMP OF GABRIEL COLLINS ON MAIL LONDON TO NORFOLK 'BY NORWICH BAG'. Undated letter, some soiling and slight re-enforcement to fold, from the College of Arms, London 'To Oliver Lowood Esq, at Great Walsingham, Norfolk' with additional manuscript endorsement 'by Norwich bag'. Letter charged '3' and on reverse good but overinked strike 'GC' circular hand stamp of the London General Post receiver Gabriel Collins and London Bishop mark 'JA/11'. Gabriel Collins was the London General Post receiver at Temple Bar and Feldman records usage of this smaller circular hand stamp between 1703 and 1706. (Ref 129303).
