Fine wrapper from London sent registered mail to Havre with fine strip of four 2d blue pl.4 S.C.14 (SG23) lettered QC QD QE QF, centred slightly high, tied London '24' Inland Office numerals and part strike 'CHARGE' handstamp in black. At left manuscript 'Registered' and on reverse 'LE HARVE' date stamp 28 MAI 55. Also on front 'Earl St BKLR' London receivers handstamp in blue (L514/EARL4b). Stamps paying 4d ¼ oz rate and 4d registration. Very fine usage. (Ref 141876).
