Fine used 1840 1d black pl.1b (SG2) lettered PK, four good to fine margins and cancelled light strike red Maltese cross, matched with good used 1d red pl.1b (SG7) lettered PK, just touched at left, cancelled black Maltese cross. Both stamps show variety 'RETOUCHED CHECK LETTERS' (Spec AS5e/AS7e) from plate re-entry, the 'K' being noticeably thinner. (2 items). (Ref 141785).
