1840-1841 MATCHED TRIO 1D GREY-BLACK PL.1A (SG3), 1D BLACK PL.1B (SG2) AND 1D RED (SG7) ALL LETTERED DD WITH CONSTANT VARIETIES. Used 1840 1d grey-black pl.1A (SG3) lettered DD, touched lower right otherwise good margins, cancelled red Maltese cross and showing ray flaws NW square. Matched with fine 1d black pl.1B (SG2) also lettered DD, vertical bend but fine four margins, light strike red Maltese cross and showing constant variety 'ROLLER FLAW NW SQUARE' (SPEC AS5k). Fine to very fine used 1d red pl.1B (SG7) accompanies also lettered DD with fine margins and neat black Maltese cross. 1d red showing ray flaws NW square. Scarce trio. (Ref 141459).
