1847 MAIL DERBY TO MADELEY, SHROPSHIRE, RE-DIRECTED TO 'IRONBRIDGE' WITH 'MADELEY' UDC (SH284). Letter with printed billhead, slight soiling, from Derby to 'Mr John Hinsley, Plumber, Madeley, Shropshire' with 1d (SG8) lettered TD, four good margins and tied fine strike '242' numeral of Derby. Letter re-directed to 'Ironbridge' and on front good strike 'MADELEY' udc in green (SH284) and 'IRONBRIDGE' date stamp MR 29 1847. Repaired spike hole. (Ref 132960).
