1846 MAIL EASTHOPE RECTORY, MUCH WENLOCK, SHROPS TO SCOTLAND WITH MANUSCRIPT 'TOO LATE'. Letter from Easthope to Broughty Ferry, Scotland dated 25th Nov 1846 with 1d (SG8) lettered DC, touched in two places but tied good strike '406' numeral of Ironbridge. Letter received too late for that day's mail and on front 'MUCH-WENLOCK' and 'IRONBRIDGE' date stamps NO 26 1846 and NO 27 1846 also manuscript 'Too Late'. (Ref 132891).
