1583 MAIL VERONA TO BARTOLAMEO CORSINI, LONDRA WITH MANUSCRIPT 'pq' (PER QUESTA). Fine letter from Gio Battista Scandelli of Verona dated 21st Sept 1583 to Bartolameo Corsini of Londra with manuscript 'pq' (per questa) advising that the recipient will pay postage. When originally sold by Robson Lowe this was in a group of five letters discussing business silks and other fabrics, 'goods exquisite in every perfection... this silk is as fine as is made'. Also mentioned is the cost of sending a bale of silk by post to Innsbruck. (Ref 141838).
