Fine letter from Talgarth, Brecon dated 16th Feb 1788 to 'John Glover Esq, Bewdley, Worcestershire', charged '5' and on front manuscript 'X' denoting cross post, and not via London. Also on front fine strike of the very large type 'HAY' straight line handstamp in black (W1112). Rare example of a Welsh cross post letter. (Ref 141580).
