688. KGVI ESSAYS. Two essays privately produced by Harmers for their 1938 Christmas card with proposed designs for the 1940 Centenary issue printed in red and blue respectively. Unusual. (*) (Ref 61486) £45.00

689. 1942 2/6d yellow-green (SG 476a). A very fine used example showing 'UNICORN RE-ENTRY' (Bater No.4 see page 47). Shows marginal dot at upper right and re-entry to unicorn. Ex. row 2/5. (*) (Ref 38321) £48.00

       

690. 1939 5/- Red (SG 477). A good to fine used example showing 'MAJOR RE-ENTRY AT LEFT OF STAMP' from row 5/6. SCARCE. (*) (Ref 17712) £45.00

691. 1939 5/- Red (SG 477). A used example clearly showing variety 'INVERTED 'T' GUIDE IN KING'S HAIR', with Sussex cancellation. Slight creasing on reverse. (*) (Ref 17028) £40.00

A fine used example in STATE III from row 2/8 showing MAJOR RE-ENTRY CAUSING THE '1' AND 'O' OF VALUE AT LEFT THINNED, showing re-worked left and right frame lines and with the constant variety only seen in the third state 'DOT IN UPPER RIGHT OF OVAL FRAME'. 693. 1939 10/- Dark Blue (SG 478). A good used example in the STATE III from row 5/4 showing 'SUPERB RE-ENTRY TO THISTLE AT UPPER RIGHT, FINE RE-ENTRY TO LOWER LEFT SCROLL AND ROSE AT UPPER LEFT'.
