'CHELMSFORD/D29' MILEAGE MARK (EX 78). 1803 part wrapper Chelmsford to Prescott, Lancs dated 15th August 1803 with good to fine strike of this curious mileage mark with the number prefixed 'D' - not seen by us before (see note in County Catalogue where it is suggested that this mark was applied to mail from the Barracks at Danbury). 24. CARRIER'S MAIL. 1813 letter, with invoice, from Glasgow addressed to 'Robert Campbell Esq of Ardchattan c/o Mr John McKeichan Merchant Oban' and endorsed 'W.a parcel'. Letter dated 4th June 1813.
