3. LONDON DOCKWRA - WESTMINSTER OFFICE. 1741 wrapper used locally in London dated Sept 3 1741 and addressed 'To The Excellent & Rt Rev. County Linfendorff in Warner Street next door to Dr Smith near Old Bath Fields'. On reverse good strike of Dockwra in black (L 362a) - Friday. (*) (Ref 59084) £110.00

4. LONDON DOCKWRA - WESTMINSTER OFFICE. 1766 wrapper (some faults) to The Foundling Hospital London endorsed on front 'X Penny Post'. On reverse fair to good strike of the Westminster Dockwra (L 363a) and '2 o'clock' time handstamp. Wrapper dated 24th September 1766. (*) (Ref 58030) £110.00

   

5. CORNISH PRINTS. Nine attractive line engraved prints (circa 1830) of Cornish scenes - Tremarton Castle, Whitsand Bay, Morvall, St. Mawgan Church and Nunnery, Port Eliot, Pentillie Castle, Tregothnan House, Falmouth Harbour and St. Austell. 6. WALES/MONMOUTHSHIRE. 1769 wrapper Usk to London with fine strike of the straight line 'Usk' handstamp (25x7mm W2331). Slightly overstruck by Bishopmark 6/NO. Fine usage. (*) (Ref 45203) £55.00

   

7. 1773 letter (several flaps missing) Paisley to Edinburgh dated 3rd April 1773. On reverse fine strike of the small-type 'Paisly' straight line handstamp in black. (*) (Ref 60007) £30.00

8. 1777 letter Dunollie to Ardinchonell (Ardchonnell) dated April 27th 1777 with manuscript '2' on front and fine strike of the straight line 'Oban' on reverse, envelope slight imperfections. (*) (Ref 60005) £40.00

   

9. COFFEE HOUSE. Circa 1780 large part wrapper addressed to 'Parliament Coffee House London'. On reverse fair strike of a London Dockwra. Side flaps missing. (*) (Ref 59623) £55.00

10. COFFEE HOUSE/DOCKWRA. Undated letter used locally in London written at 'George's Coffee House' and dated May 2nd. A fine usage and on reverse a good strike of the Westminster dockwra (L 363a - used 1784-1794 with the Monday code). (*) (Ref 57502) £150.00

   

11. SOMERSET. 1785 letter from Bath to Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire dated August 31st 1785. On front good strike of the 'Bath/110' mileage mark (SO 68). (*) (Ref 60576) £80.00

LONDON PENNY POST RECEIVER - MARTIN. 1795 envelope Cheyne Walk (Chelsea) to Chancery Lane endorsed 'Not Pd' with fair strike of the rare 'Chelsea' receiving house mark and also a good strike of the scarce 'Martin' London receiver's handstamp in black. Backstamped 7/SE/95. Scarce usage. (*) (Ref 51265) £125.00

   

13. ESSEX. 1795 front Lymington to Romford REDIRECTED to Cambridge with good strike of the two-line 'Rum/ford' handstamp in black (EX 376) used 34 years later than County Catalogue records? London 'FREE' datestamp SE/15/95. (*) (Ref 60573) £35.00

14. COFFEE HOUSE/STAFFORDSHIRE. 1795 wrapper from Litchfield addressed to 'Wills Coffee House Lincolns Inn London'. On front fair strike of the 'Lichfield' straight line handstamp (ST 317) in black. (*) (Ref 59063) £85.00

   

15. SCOTLAND. 1796 letter Mussleburgh to Haddington dated 14th Jan 1796 with very fine strike of the 'MUFSLEBURGH' straight line handstamp in black. (*) (Ref 57548) £150.00

16. JERSEY. 1796 entire St. Helier to Constance (now Konstanz S.W. Germany) with fine to very fine strike of the 'Jersey' convex handstamp (35x4mm) struck in black. On front manuscript 'PD 1/7' letter dated 22 March 1796. Fine usage. (*) (Ref 60476) £300.00
