1852 "BRUTON" MAIL BAG SEAL ON REVERSE OF ENVELOPE. Envelope Bruton to Sheffield with 1d (SG8) lettered OB, touched at foot otherwise good margins, tied good strike "948" numeral of Bruton IN BLUE. On reverse BRUTON date stamp AU 19 1852 in same shade of blue and envelope sealed by fine large part strike "BRUTON/CROWN" mail bag seal in wax. Very scarce. (Ref 115522).
