Envelope Halifax to 'Thomas Pease, South Parade, Leeds' with 1d (SG8) lettered BH, touched in several places, tied black Maltese cross of Halifax and alongside 'LEEDS' date stamp AP 27 1842. Also on front fair strike boxed 'Brighouse/Penny Post' hand stamp in blue (YK585). On reverse 'HALIFAX' date stamp AP 26 1842 and fine wafer seal depicting flowers in pink and black. (Ref 133316).
