1855 MAIL LONDON TO EMPINGHAM, RUTLAND 'MISSENT TO GRIMSBY'. Envelope, some creasing, from London clearly addressed to Empingham Rutland with die 2 1d L.C.14 (spec C6) lettered BL, fine used and tied neat strike London '39' Inland Office numeral. Evidently missorted and on front manuscript 'Missent to Grimsby'. On reverse London date stamp 17 AU 1855 and STAMFORD date stamp AU 20 1855. (Ref 124054).
