1811 MAIL BELPER, DERBYS TO SOUTHWELL, NOTTS WITH 'DERBY/PENNY POST' HAND STAMP IN RED (DY157). Letter from Belper to 'John Seacroft Esqr., Southwell, Nottinghamshire' dated 12th November 1811 and charged '7', 6d General Post and 1d Penny Post. On front good to fine strike 'DERBY/Penny Post' hand stamp in red (DY157), this hand stamp only recorded in red 1811-1812, hand stamp slightly overstruck manuscript '1d' and fine strike boxed 'No.2' receiver's hand stamp of Belper in black. Slight soiling but very scarce usage. (Ref 129330).
