1840 ORIGINAL SPOONER CARICATURE NO.9 WHICH RELATES TO 'POSTAL MATTERS'. A superb unused original example of the 1840 Spooner Caricature No.9 in black on white wove paper which depicts 'Postal matters'. A relaxed Britannia is sitting astride the lion with images relating to pre-payment of postage, a 'dead letter' and the opening of private correspondence etc. (Ref 135439).
