    CIRCA 1740 MAIL NORTHAMPTON TO LONDON WITH 'N/HAMPTON' HAND STAMP (NN119). Fine wrapper from Northampton 'To Mr James Hutton, at ye Bible and Sun, in Little Wild Street, near Lincolns Inn Fields, London', charged '7' and on reverse good to fine strike of the rare 'N/HAMPTON' two line hand stamp in black (NN119, 28 x 10mm). Also on reverse London Bishop mark '19/NO'. Wrapper undated but hand stamp recorded 1736-1747. James Hutton (1715-1795) was a Moravian Minister and an associate of John Wesley and George Whitefield. Rare. (Ref 128280).
