1837 MAIL SOUTHEND TO SOUTHWARK WITH 'ROCHFORD/PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (EX364). Fine entire Southend to 'Mr Edgington, Tooley St, Bow, Southwark Surrey' dated 17th Oct 37 and charged '8'. On front fine strike boxed 'No.2' receiving house hand stamp of Leigh, on reverse good to fine strike (over flap) 'Rochford/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (EX364). Good usage. (Ref 125162).
